M. Carl Rice
M. Carl Rice, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, earned a Bachelor of Science degree, in 1967 from Centenary College of Louisiana and a Juris Doctor, in 1970, from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center.
He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1971 and to the Texas Bar in 1990. He was also admitted to the Bars of the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the United States Eastern and Western District Courts of Louisiana.
He founded Carl Rice & Associates in 1971, which would later become known as Rice & Kendig.
Mr. Rice is an active member of the Louisiana Trial Lawyer’s Association (“LTLA”) and served on its executive committee for the 1996-1997 term. In honor of his professionalism and advocacy he received the LTLA's highest award, the President’s Award. Mr. Rice served on the LTLA Board of Governors from 1995 to 1997, and was promoted to the Council of Directors from 2002 to 2004. He is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association, the Louisiana Bar Association, and the Shreveport Bar Association.
He practices primarily in the area of personal injury law.
