Franeka Taylor is a personal injury trial lawyer licensed to practice law in Louisiana. She is a native of Northwest Louisiana, having grown up in the small town of Homer, LA. She graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA from Louisiana Tech University in 2018, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Franeka then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate and a graduate diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2021.
Entering law school, Franeka knew that she wanted to learn all the skills necessary to become an advocate for her future clients. While in law school, she completed an externship with the East Baton Rouge District Attorney’s Office, served as a member of the Board of Advocates, participated in several trial competitions, and competed in an external pre-trial competition, where she finished as a quarterfinalist.
After successfully sitting for the July 2021 Louisiana bar exam, Franeka returned to Shreveport, Louisiana, serving as a law clerk to Judges Craig Marcotte and Chris Victory at the First Judicial District Court. During her clerkship, she gained experience in both civil and criminal law. After successfully passing the July 2021 Louisiana bar exam, she was admitted to practice law in all Louisiana state courts in October 2021.
Franeka joined our firm in February 2022. She is now ready to use her skills to advocate for her future clients.
Franeka is a member of both the Louisiana State and Shreveport Bar Associations. She is also a proud member of Word of God Ministries. Fun fact, Franeka is trained in ballet, pointé, jazz, and tap, and enjoys watching ballets in her free time. She also enjoys spending time with her family.
